The project timeline is divided into 5 phases with most of the exploration and design stages done in Years 1 and 2, and development of prototypes and software codebases in the form of modules will be done in the remaining phases. The summer term in each of the phases will have the students/faculty involved in workshops/internships and research with researchers from Federal laboratories and industries. Phase 4 will kickstart the transition of technology to DoD for decision making in mission critical scenarios with Digital Forensics tools and will be completed by the end of Phase 5. The deliverables include publications, open- source Software packages and technology transfer manuals/white papers for the systems and prototypes developed. Digital forensics related improved deep-packet inspection system, ai/ml model for detection analysis and real-time visualization system will be innovative and impactful.
